Annual Family Picnic June 5th

Join us for our annual family picnic tomorrow, Sunday June 5, 2011, from 12:30-3:30pm!!! Beaver Brook Reservation (by the brook at Waverley Oaks playground on Trapelo Rd) in Belmont! Bring picnic and food to share, blankets, chairs, water shoes and bathing suits (for the brook and water park). We’ll have toys, water, popsicles, and fun!

Join us: Crafts & activities; Cascarones (confetti filled decorated eggshells), make worry dolls, paper flowers;

Musical entertainment by La Piñata.

Light Refreshments; Donation requested at the door.

Volunteers welcome, including teens to assist with activities!

GFN Annual Family Picnic at Beaver Brook Reservation in Belmont on Saturday, June 5th from 12:30pm-3:30pm.

Thanks everyone! We had a great afternoon and the weather held out!

Outdoor Fun for Guatemalan Families, Guatemalan Adoptive Families and all their Friends. Free! Potluck! Donations accepted.

Meet other GFN families! Bring a blanket, picnic lunch and dish to share. Kids love wading in the brook, and the spray park will be open. Bathing suits, water shoes, and towels are advised!

Directions: (Mapquest Andros Diner 628 Trapelo Rd. Belmont for best directions.) There is limited on-street parking on Trapelo Rd. Additional parking is available in the lot at the Waverley Oaks Road entrance, just past the playground and take a left around the corner from Trapelo Rd. Follow the footpath down the hill to the picnic area.

Thank you, everyone, for a great Kids Carnival this year! We enjoyed making cascarones, worry dolls, and paper flowers. Music and dance by La Piñata was fantastic!

We are an all volunteer, not-for-profit, organization. Please consider volunteering in the future to continue these events.
